Ara School’s admission policy is in line with Barnet Council’s admission policy as stipulated in their Admissions Guide. It is our responsibility to provide students in the area with an education that is suited to different ages, abilities and aptitudes (as per Section 14 of the 1996 Education Act). The admissions policy is undertaken on a fair and non-discriminatory basis. Ara School welcomes students from diverse nationalities who agree with the school’s mission statement and core values.
Admission decisions are based on a review of completed application forms, copies of reports and transcripts from the previous school (two years of reports where possible). Further reports may also be requested before interviews are conducted with the Head of School or Primary Years Program Coordinator. Families may tour the school and where possible a taster day for the student will be arranged.
